200...Thanks for reading...Scheduling the Content Done Better Blog...

I came back from my half-week hiatus with a vengeance, finally posting a few entries I've had in temporary storage and writing another new one. If you skipped Monday, you have a lot reading to do if you want to keep up.

Moments ago I noticed that the Content Done Better Blog was home to 199 posts.

This marks #200!

In honor of the milestone, I am going to unveil the new Content Done Better Blog schedule. In order to add a little predictability to things around here and to help guide my blogging efforts in a productive manner, I will be adopting a "pattern" for the posts here. I'm breaking it down into daily topic areas...

Mondays--Advantages of using a firm like Content Done Better to handle your content and copywriting needs. Hiring a content writer.

Tuesdays & Wednesdays--News and opinion about the content industry.

Thursdays--Content Done Better weekly special.

Fridays--The CDB thumbs up and down (other posts/sites/blogs/stories you should read and maybe a few that rubbed me the wrong way).

Saturdays--Assorted ramblings. Hopefully these will be relevant, but I make no guarantees!

Sundays--Guest post. I am going to try to find someone each week who is interested in providing a "guest post" on a content industry related topic. If I can't convince someone to do this on a weekly basis, Sundays will be an off day.

Of course, I reserve the right to sneak in additional posts here and there when I feel a burning need to comment on something else.

That's the plan. I am going to work with it a month and will take it from there.

Thanks for reading somewhere between 1 and 200 posts here. I hope you stick around for the next 200.

Another weekend w/o the Content Done Better Blog...Advice from a doctor, though not a physician...See you Tuesday...

I'll be stepping away from the Content Done Better Blog until Tuesday.

I know, I know, who cares? After all, this post is going up on what is officially Thursday a.m. and no one actually spends their time readin freelance content writers' blogs during the weekend and first thing on Monday, right? Well, maybe a few people do. And, besides, I have this thing about updating this baby on a daily basis and I would feel rather strange if i skipped out on a few days without mentioning it first.

The last time I took a blogging breather, I recommended readers get their fix by perusing the archives, adding me to link lists and blog rolls, visiting my main website, etc. Not bad ideas this time, either.

But I'm more in the mood to share advice than I am to issue directives. Here's some quality wisdom from the late Dr. Hunter S. Thompson, a personal favorite of mine. The first part is good advice. The second situates it in a writing context for added fun. In case the words don't jar your memory, they come from Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail '72:

Live steady. Don't f**k around. Give everything weird a wide berth - including people. It's not worth it. I learned this the hard way, through brutal overindulgence.

Meanwhile, my room at the Seal Rock Inn is filling up with people who seem on the verge of hysteria at the sight of me still sitting here wasting time on a rambling introduction, with the final chapter still unwritten and the presses scheduled to start rolling in twenty-four hours ... but unless somebody shows up pretty soon with extremely powerful speed, there might not be any Final Chapter.

Enjoy your weekends. Things will return to normalcy around here as of Tuesday a.m. at the very latest.

Four and a half days without the Content Done Better Blog...What can you do to make it tolerable? Temporary hiatus planned...

Today's Wednesday. No more posts for today. I am also taking Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday off from posting here at the Content Done Better Blog.

I just finished that very long diatribe about the significance of blogs and the marketplace of ideas and must now put my nose to the grindstone and work like crazy for a few days.

The Thursday Special will return next week.

So, what are you going to do without me providing new material for a few days? I came up with some great ideas...

1) Get back to work. That might not be attractive, so you may feel free to keep reading.
2) Read my earlier post and take a few minutes to make a statement on your blog.
3) Add the Content Done Better Blog to your blogroll or links.
4) Peruse the archives for other interesting content writing-related posts.
5) Contact me via email at cdbrack@gmail.com or via the form on the right sidebar, or the form on the main page of Content Done Better if you want to book a content job.

Have a great rest of the week and weekend, folks.

There will be new material as of Monday and I am cooking up a few interesting ideas. Well, at least I think they are interesting.

Okay, enough stalling. Time to get to work!
